Ingredients:

  • 2 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup grated carrot
  • 1 tablespoon oil (mustard or vegetable)
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1-2 dried red chilies (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a small pan, add mustard seeds and dried red chilies. When the mustard seeds start to pop, remove from heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and grated carrot.
  3. Pour the hot mustard seed oil over the veggies.
